Personalized Coffee Mugs

Today I decided to try one of the many things I found and instantly fall in love with on Pinterest: Personalized Coffee Mugs.
I decided to make this particular coffee mug for my boyfriend; he's a big coffee drinker in the morning, so why wouldn't he love a new coffee  mug, right?!

All you need to make this cute gift is:
One coffee mug ( I bought one from the $1 store)
Scrap paper, to test out different sayings / styles of handwriting
A sharpie permanent marker
Nail polish remover (to remove any mistakes)

At first I didn't know what to write... so I just started doodling.

Now before you see what I wrote, I'll have you know that I am usually very critical when it comes to my own handwriting.  (I have a weird obsession of always trying to make my letters look perfect.)  It took about forty minutes of writing and erasing (with nail polish remover) before I was content.

Remember to write on the side of the mug that other people will be viewing, depending upon if the person receiving the mug is a Lefty (like me) or a Righty (weirdos).

My boyfriend is a Righty, so I decided to write the following for other people to view:

And on the side that only he can see I chose to write this:

Yes, I am quite the cheese-ball!  And my boyfriend will probably giggle at me when he sees this, but he should expect stuff like this from me by now!

In order to make the the phrase permanent on the coffee mug, bake it in the oven at 300 degrees F.

Place the mug on a baking sheet and put in the oven.

Wait 35 minutes and carefully remove it from the oven.

Remove the mug from the baking sheet and let it cool for at least two hours.

And VIOLA!

Remember to thoroughly wash the mug before using it!
Then fill it with whatever delicious beverage you desire.
My boyfriend will be getting his morning coffee in this mug tomorrow morning!!
