For those of you that don't know where LBI is, it's on the southern coast of New Jersey. I know, I know... New Jersey?! But you'd actually be surprised to know that LBI is a lovely spot for a family vacation, a trip with friends, or even a sweet getaway with your love.
We stayed in the part of LBI known as Beach Haven.
Our cute little house was absolutely perfect; we were right on the water and every morning I would wake up to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach (I've been waiting to hear that sound again since I left LBI a year ago).
If it wasn't too hot out I'd drink my morning coffee outside, just loving life and taking a hundred mental pictures of my ocean view.
Aside from the eighteen miles of salty water and sandy beaches, LBI consists of multiple shops where you can find cute trinkets to bring home, as well as fill up on locally caught seafood from various restaurants.
One restaurant that automatically stood out to me was PinkyShrimp's Seafood Company or, Pinky's to the locals. This place allowed you to call and place an order for a "Lobster Mania". Thats right people, you could have this prepared for you to take home within twenty minutes, does it get any better? The Lobster Mania allowed us to feast like royalty with: 4 one pound + lobsters, 4 pounds of mussels, 4 dozen steamed clams, 4 ears of corn, 4 baked potatoes, and 1 pint of coleslaw, all for a very reasonable price.

Another place I made sure to stop at more more than once is the Skipper Dipper, this ice cream joint is guaranteed to satisfy any sugar-holic's sweet tooth...and then some. Their list of soft and hard ice creams goes on and on.

Yes, this is heaven on earth!
I'm not ashamed to admit it, this vacation consisted of nothing but eating delicious food, laying on the beach, reading books, and sleeping; it was pure bliss.
Every once and a while our friend, Pete the Seagull, would pop in for a visit, and only if he was lucky would we give him some bread.
I can't wait for next year!
