My sister Caitlyn came up to visit late Wednesday evening and spent the night so we could have a full day of Twin Time on Thursday.
We woke up around 9 a.m. and had a relaxing morning of drinking coffee and catching up, discussing all things girly.
After Caitlyn raided my closet for what seemed like four hours we decided to go out for lunch and take in all that Albany had to offer us on the beautiful sunny day. Cait said she was in the mood for a really good salad, so I decided to bring her to one of my new favorite places; The City Beer Hall. The name may sound deceiving, but check out their website and look at all they have to offer. This gastropub is a true gem for Albany's foodies and beer lovers.
As soon as we were seated, we looked over the adult beverage menu.
Caitlyn ordered the Weihenstephan Hefeweissbier from Freising, Germany (Left) and I had the Peak Organic Summer Session from Peak, ME (Right)
Both beers were excellent choices and instantly cooled us off with one sip.
The City Beer Hall has a number of seating areas to choose from; the main level is full of large wooden picnic tables and follows the theme of a Biergarten The second floor aims for a Western Saloon style, where they have a large mechanical bull (that can add some fun to your already rowdy night). And finally, the third option (the one Cait and I chose) is the outside Beer Garden with large round tables and comfy chairs, red picnic tables, and small intimate tables for two. We opted for the large tables with the comfy chairs and I was lucky enough to snag the rocking chair before Cait spotted it!

Now, are you ready to see some mouthwatering, award-winning, and tummy grumbling photos of food? Okay good.
Cait and I decided to split three dishes:
Roasted Beet Salad with fresh arugula, fennel, pistachio nuts &and gorgonzola
Kale Salad with massaged kale, farro, toasted walnuts, gorgonzola, and red onion
Gastro Burger stuffed with local foie gras & topped with triple cream camembert cheese, lettuce, and tomato and a side of truffle fries.
Yes, you need to see this view. Simply Delicious.
Cait and I had an absolutely delightful time, I recommend The City Beer Hall to everyone! You can also check them out on Facebook.
