Cait and I made an executive decision and decided to fuel up a bit before taking to the streets of Millerton. We started with wine (obviously) and shared the tuna tartar and shrimp & scallop ceviche at 52 Main(one of my new favorite restaurants).
After restraining ourselves from ordering seconds of both we finally made our way out of the cool restaurant to scope out the little towns.
After checking out the live music, we decided to make our way over to Harney & Sons. Unfortunately, it was closed and we could only peek in. It's adorable.
With a quick stop to see the stream.
And a little window shopping.
Finally, ice cream at Soup n Scoop!
Chocolate espresso and raspberry sorbet.
Both flavors were Out. Of. This. World. I'm pretty sure they had a raspberry bush hidden somewhere in the shop to make fresh. I loved it. And, they had some of my favorite song lyrics on the wall.
Millerton is a lovely place to spend your weekend. Next time you're in Dutchess county stop by and check out the local shops and restaurants.
