I have a little secret....
I LOVE my weekends. I mean really, who doesn't? It's two out of the seven days a week where I get to do what I want, when I want. Sleep in until 11 a.m.? Sure! Binge watch a new television show? Why Not?!

I also get pretty excited about preparing a scrumptious breakfast and lunch for myself. It's silly to think food can sometimes be the highlight of my weekend, but during the week I usually just throw something quick together before running out of the house for work and call it a day. I look forward to this time because it's when I get to extinguish all my crazy food cravings and if I'm feeling up to it, I'll get a little bit creative, too. 

This past weekend I decided to treat myself to a Cheesy Bagel BLTea for lunch. Okay, so it's not incredibly creative...but it's pretty darn tasty if you ask me!

Those extra letters in my BLTea stand for egg and avocado. They take this traditional sammy and kick it up a notch.

To make this Cheesy Bagel BLTea yourself you'll need the following fixin's:

- 1 Bagel (I chose an everything bagel)
- 1 slice sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/2 an avocado
- 1 piece of Boston lettuce
- 3 slices of tomato
- homemade mayo

While you're frying up your egg, toast that bagel until it's slightly golden around the outside.

I usually scoop my bagels of the excess dough - I don't need the extra carbs & it creates the perfect valley for my favorite condiments on a sammy.

For the perfect BLTea put a good smear of homemade mayo on each side of your bagel, then the lettuce, slice of cheddar cheese, avocado, bacon, egg, and finally, the tomato. 

Open wide and take a big 'ol bite out of it. 

Pop open a drink & enjoy!
