I had a wonderful 24th birthday! It was full of  family, friends, some of my all time favorite foods, and wine. Lots and lots of wine. I wanted to keep it as simple and relaxing as possible, so Cait and I decided to go to our favorite sushi place in Albany, Ruby Asian Bistro

My family left most of the ordering up to me, as the waiter deemed me 'one of their most loyal customers'. I guess my love affair with Ruby is officially out in the open!
I decided to order my favorite appetizers for all of us to share: a few kani salads and a couple orders of crab rangoons. Everything was finished within 10 minutes, including a bottle of wine, so I had to hurry up and give our waiter the sushi order of 9 different rolls. While they were preparing our food, we were taking pictures!

Okay, food is here!

To be honest, I've only ever ordered items off the sushi section of Ruby's menu, so I was excited to see how the others enjoyed their pad thai and bento boxes. It all smelled delicious!

Somehow I forgot to take pictures of the food, but Alexa was kind enough to share some of the ones she snapped with me.

It was a true struggle, but somehow I managed to get a bite of my birthday fried ice cream down.

Not quite ready to call it a night, we decided to head over to The Point for an after dinner drink.

I went with my favorite: Extraaaa dirty vodka martini with blue cheese olives.

Our waiter was a friend of mine and knew it was our birthday, so he treated us to some of their homemade cannolis, which were out of this world.

It was the perfect way to spend my birthday meal!
I love you Cait and am so happy I get to share a birthday with you!
