When I get a craving for food it usually doesn't stop until I quench it. Yesterday, that craving was a cheeseburger, yet again.
Rather going out to eat I decided to pick up some ingredients from the market and make the burgers myself.

Yeah I know, raw ground beef isn't that pretty but here are the ingredients you'll need for quick and easy burgers.

- 1.5 pounds of organic ground beef
- 1 Tablespoon garlic
- 4 splashes Worcestershire sauce
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- 2 pinches of smoked paparika

Incorporate all the ingredients.

Then form patties like these. For each burger I used enough ground beef so it was the size of my fist.

After the patties are formed top each one with a sprinkle of salt and pepper.

While your grill is heating up cook your bacon and prep the other burger toppings.

I added sharp cheddar cheese, spring mix greens, bacon, tomato, and homemade pickled onions to my burger.

I also suggest making your own homemade mayo, I followed this recipe and it came out fantastic! It's also pairs well with French fries.

Cook your burgers for 4-5 minutes on each side, depending on how well done you like them cooked.

Pile on all the toppings...

Smoosh it down a bit and enjoy!

Every attempt I've ever made at homemade French fries has been a fail, so I just heated up some frozen shoe string fries and sprinkled a bit of truffle salt on top.

Look at that cheesy mess. Makes my mouth water just thinking about last nights dinner.

What is your favorite burger topping, besides cheese!?

  1. That looks deeelish! I love slices of avocado, adds a creamy texture and can always replace mayo!

  2. Some may say it's gilding the lilly, but I like to baste my burgers with the bacon fat. Also, I only add the tomato in summer (although the Gastropub once made the brilliant call of using pickled green tomatoes off season).

Thanks for stopping by The Simple Treat! I hope you enjoyed my latest post!
