As much as I enjoy savory food items, there's still a part of me that enjoys a little something sweet every now and then. Over the weekend I decided to test out a recipe and since it came out so well I decided to share it on the blog: Vanilla Infused Raw Sugar.

This process is incredibly simple to execute. All you need to make some vanilla infused sugar for yourself is:

- 1 cup raw sugar
- 1 vanilla bean
- 1 jar

Measure out your sugar and pour half of it into the jar.

Cut the vanilla bean in half and slice it lengthwise. Then take the back of your knife to scoop out all of the vanilla.

Add in half of the scooped vanilla. 

Then pour the rest of the sugar in the jar, along with the scooped vanilla and half the bean.

Place the lid on the jar & shake it up to fully incorporate the vanilla into the sugar.

Place a cute label on it, add a few scoops to your morning coffee or tea, and enjoy!

I only let the sugar sit for a couple of days, yet there was already a nice hint of vanilla to it.  I'm sure the longer I wait and let the vanilla infuse into the sugar the better it'll taste!
