I love savory food. Almost every time I'm asked I choose something savory over something sweet. As excited I was about my Vanilla Infused Sugar I am even more excited about this Thyme Infused Salt recipe I'm about to share with you!
- 2 Tablespoons of thyme
- 1.5 cups of kosher salt
Start by mincing the thyme.
Then mix half of the thyme with half of the salt.
I don't have a mortar & pestle, so I used a muddler to grind / mix the salt and thyme together in two different batches.
When the two ingredients are incorporated to your liking place them in a tightly sealed jar.
I added about a half sprig of thyme to the top of the jar to help with the infusion.
Smack a label on it & let the thyme infuse into the salt for a couple of days; I waited four.
Then sprinkle it on something delicious & enjoy!
