Happy Cinco de Mayo!
In honor of holiday I thought I'd share my guacamole recipe with you. It's quite simple and incredibly delicious.

To make some of this guac yourself you'll need:

- 2 Hass avocados
- a handful of cherry tomatoes
- red onion (about 1 1/2 tablespoons; chopped)
- 1 clove of garlic; minced
- 1/2 lemon; juiced
- salt & pepper to taste
- Frank's Red Hot; about 10-15 splashes

Start by pitting both avocados into a bowl, placing one avocado pit on the side for later. (You'll place the avocado pit in the finished bowl of guacamole to help keep it from turning brown.)

Then squeeze the juice of half a lemon over the avocados.

Chop up your tomatoes and toss them in

Then add in the onion and garlic

Once all the ingredients are in the bowl add the salt & pepper to taste as well as the Frank's Red Hot.

Then mash it up!
See, I told you it was simple recipe!

Open up a bag of tortilla chips or whip up a quesadilla.

Mix yourself a margarita & enjoy!
How are you celebrating Cinco de Mayo this year?

  1. Yup! making this tonight! and keeping the pit in the leftovers!
