Bloody Mary's are one of my favorite drinks; it doesn't matter the time of day, if I'm offered a Bloody Mary you can bet I'll take it. I was looking at the ingredients on the bottle of my favorite Bloody Mary mix a week ago and realized it was full of high fructose corn syrup and some other ingredients I didn't know much about. So,this past weekend I decided to create my own recipe and I'm so happy with how it turned out.

To make some of these bad boys for yourself you'll need:
- 24 oz of organic tomato juice
- 2 tablespoons horseradish
- juice of one lemon
- 1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1/4 teaspoon celery salt (plus more for garnish)
- fresh cracked pepper (8 turns on a pepper grinder)
-3 tablespoons hot sauce; I used Franks Red Hot Wing Sauce
Be sure to taste as you go and adjust the spiciness to your liking.
Then load your glass with ice, pour in an ounce and a half of vodka (lemon or bacon flavored vodka is nice), and top with the mix.
Sprinkle celery salt after you've combined the vodka and Bloody Mary mix together for additional flavors.
Be sure to have a nice variety of garnishes, too. I chose a pickle, lemon wedge, and of course a square of extra sharp cheddar cheese, because you need to nibble on cheese while sipping a spicy Bloody.
But you could also garnish with bacon, shrimp cocktail, or even a slider! I've seen it done and it looks glorious!
Just keep sippin'.
Enjoy your day!
